Inspired by a rising trend of “creative sushi” amongst Japanese youngsters, Tokyo Kitchen embraces that theme as a master chef with over 16 years of experience seeks to transform all foods into his own form of art. Signature offerings include dinosaur sushi, a larger-than-average salmon rice-based sushi with crab sticks, tamago, and cucumber; long salmon sushi; and bread sushi. Apart from its many sushi offerings, diners can also feast on meat-topped rice bowls, tofu cakes, and Japanese curry before ending meals with homemade lava cake, or wasabi ice cream, as featured on 8TV’s Ho Chak!. Boasting five locations throughout Klang Valley, including IOI Mall, One City, and IKON Connaught, the décor varies from traditional wooden furnishings in Berjaya Times Square and SetiaWalk, to a modern vintage look in Sunway Giza; with the main attraction being the wishing board where patrons are free to scribble and display their wish for good fortune and the chef’s hand in marriage.
Tokyo Kitchen does not serve pork, but offers alcohol on its menu.
