Like barcode readers at grocery stores, humans are always scanning things with their eyes until they get upset tummies from looking at too much food. Browse thoroughly with today’s Groupon: for RM32, you get an RM50 cash voucher for food and drinks from Yishensu, available at two outlets in Klang Valley.
With beginnings in Ipoh and Kampar as manufacturers and suppliers of processed vegetarian food, Yishensu was known as Yishen Vegetarian Restaurant back in 1987 before claiming its current name two years later. Since then, the connoisseur of vegetarian cuisine expanded to the city centre by sprouting several heads in the heart of Selangor, gracing vegetarians and those seeking healthy fares in 1 Utama Shopping Mall and Klang’s BBT One Boulevard with the likes of claypot chicken vegetables rice, teriyaki duck vegetables with scrambled eggs and steamed rice, and signature fried kuey teow.
Yishensu does not serve pork or alcohol on its menu.

The presentation of each and every dish is beautifully done. It is neat, reasonably artistic and most importantly looks appetizing! The serving size is also just nice, neither too much nor too little. The secret to Yishensu’s uniqueness is that many of their dishes are either freshly made or obtained from their own vegetarian food manufacturing factory. For example the House Tofu with Luffa; the tofu are freshly made everyday by their chefs which gives it a special and unique taste that can only be found in Yishensu.– Jul 26, 2012
